The student lab at the MPQ — Since 2011, the PhotonLab — built up by MAP, LMU and MPQ — has been a focal point for all those who want to learn about light. Over 5,000 visitors have already taken the opportunity to learn here. Nearly 2,000 students visited in 2015 alone, and this number is rising.
You can try out around 20 experiments at the Student Lab. Measure how thick your hair is, how light bends, or get to know holography.
Videos — in our media center you can find videos on current research, and films that illuminate the fundamentals of the physics of light.
